A Land

Château LIOT spreads its vines in the Haut Barsac, a privileged place for the elaboration of great sweet wines.

The particularity of the soil of Barsac is this red clay soil which rests on a bed of broken limestone, favoring the penetration of the roots in the soil and ensuring a natural drainage.

The proximity of the Ciron river and the sunny afternoons are very favorable to the development of Botrytis Cinérea, which is essential to the elaboration of great sweet wines.

A Vineyard

The twenty hectares of Château Liot are composed of Semillon (80%), Sauvignon (15%) and Muscadelle (5%).

The David family also owns, in Pujols sur Ciron, the “Château SAINT JEAN DES GRAVES” AOC Graves, a vineyard of about twenty hectares where we produce a dry, very fruity white wine made mainly from Semillon (50%) and Sauvignon (50%) grapes, as well as an excellent red wine made from Merlot (70%) and Cabernet (30%) vinified in barrels and vats
